Resurge Directors attended a meeting this morning with Minister of State, Desmond Swayne, Department for international development(Dfid) at their head quarters in East Kilbride.  The occasion was the announcement of support by Dfid for two new Healthcare Partnerships – both Scottish teams, focusing on the improvement of burns treatment in Africa:  (Resurge Africa for burns work in Ghana and ReBas in Malawi).  Dfid is the 4th largest UK government agency in Scotland.  Both teams gave excellent presentations.  Missing from the line up was Resurge director Mr Stuart Watson, who is currently in Ghana.  Mr Watson has been instrumental in the success of both projects.
